"Let the buyer beware" Especially if there's Fracking going on - Caveat emptor

Caveat emptor is Latin for "Let the buyer beware" Generally, caveat emptor is the contract law principle that controls the sale of real property after the date of closing,

Most people going house shopping start off their list with the usual; number of bedrooms, extra bath facilities, garage, total floor space and a few other items that helps them "price" their potential new home. Not enough people look into the environmental threats that can make or break a house's worthiness for the price.

The potential for disaster from flooding and pollution are often not even considered as they're not as immediately obvious. Current research sparked by new energy seeking procedures like fracking for oil and gas are now being shown to have an incredible impact on a properties value, rendering some worthless after an accident by oil and gas workers.

Gas Price Increases Prompting EQT to revive Drilling Outside of their Marcellus Holdings

Before and afternoon rally, EQT stock price dropped about $4 a share when it first announced it was going to restart drilling operations 9utside of it's primasry Marcellus regions. They have announced plans to increase their 2014 capital spending to $2.4 billion. $180 Million of that will go toward resuming drilling at the 120 Huron Shale wells in Kentucky that were stalled in 2012 as natural gas retail prices started to fall.

Last Hours



"Last Hours" is the first in a series of short films that explore the perils of climate change and the solutions to avert climate disaster. Each subsequent film will highlight fact-based challenges facing the human race, and offer solutions to ameliorate these crises. The initial short film series will culminate in a feature film to be presented prior to COP21, the 2015 UN Conference on Climate Change in Paris.

An asset for the climate change movement, "Last Hours" will be disseminated globally to awaken modern culture worldwide about the various dangers associated with climate change.

Fracking Boom Gives Banks Mortgage Headaches

An East Coast oil boom has promised potential riches to lucky landowners. But the oil rush may cause big headaches for some unlucky banks.


















At least three institutions — Tompkins Financial (TMP) in Ithaca, N.Y., Spain's Santander Bank and State Employees' Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C. — are refusing to make mortgages on land where oil or gas rights have been sold to an energy company.
